There’s something special about getting to work with a brand you’ve admired for years, especially when it comes from your own community.

Gouache Bags is a Marikina-born brand with a focus on sustainability and thoughtful design. Their bags are made to be used for years, not just a season. I still regularly use my own Gouache bag from 2020, which says a lot about the kind of relationship you can build with something designed to last.

So when the opportunity came to work with the Gouache team, it was an easy yes.

Working closely with Louie and Ann, we set out to translate their vision into a series of campaign visuals. With two stages running simultaneously at Basta Studio, we were able to work efficiently while giving each setup the attention it needed.

What made this production particularly rewarding was the chance to work with a brand whose values we genuinely connect with. Beyond the images and videos we get to create, there’s something meaningful about contributing to businesses that are part of the same community we call home.

It's a reminder that the work we do isn't just about producing content. It's also about the people we work with, the ideas we get to explore, and the kind of businesses we choose to support through our craft.
